Things I’m Over

I was at a carnival early tonight with my family and I noticed a couple things because I am naturally a people watcher. I noticed that all of the middle school and high school age girls were in quite revealing clothing, wearing what seemed to be a lot of makeup, and even a few that had stuffed their bras. Now, I don’t mention this to be rude or to judge them in anyway but I am completely over girl’s feeling like they have to look, dress, and act a certain way to be accepted by society. I don’t care if a girl enjoys dressing more on the scandalous side, wearing make up, or even stuffing their bra. But, I don’t believe these 12-16 year old girls should feel like they have to look a certain way. I love social media but I don’t love what impressions it seems to have left on the youth. I wish kids and teenagers could just feel comfortable to act and be their age. I want people to stop wishing they were older, wishing away their lives essentially. You can’t get that time back. This come from a girl that may have been pushed to grow up faster than necessary. You can’t ever go back to being a kid or a teenager again so enjoy it while it lasts and make the most of it. I am praying that came across the right way but if for some reason it didn’t, I apologize.

This plays off the last one, but I am over people living through their phones. Their is a whole actual world out their with physical people to talk to.

I’m over bad people and bad things always getting to walk away while the innocent are screwed over. I’m over how much the saying “only the good die young” has become all too true.

I’m tired of people tearing each other down instead of trying to build each other up.

In the politest way I can say this, I am beyond tired of people being fake. Whether it be on social media or in person, it really doesn’t matter. Why not just be the person you really are… there is only one you and there will only ever be one you. You have a your own thoughts, personality, appearance so on and so forth… what’s the point of being anyone other than you. If you can’t be comfortable and happy being you, I think that might just be one of the bigger tragedies I’ve seen. By all means, become a better you, a stronger you, but don’t stop being you.

I have had conversations with countless people about variations of this question and sadly some were no where close to being able to say yes… I hope that everyone out there, especially those who answer no find a way to say yes again.

I’m over people not going after what lights their souls on fire. You get one life and I would rather fail than have never tried to go after what I want in life.

Who cares what anyone thinks or says… so what if you fail, try again, and again, and again because you deserve to have your dream life. The only limits there truly are, are the ones you set for yourself. You can deny that all you want but there are plenty of success stories that prove otherwise

I’m over so many things that this could become a series… that’s kind of pathetic if you think about it. I just want people to at least attempt to become the best version of themselves and live the best life possible.

If you stick around for all of my late night thoughts comment feels. Because let me tell you for some reason I am majorly in my feels and my thoughts tonight.

I want to challenge you to make at least one change that could better your life after reading this post. Just something as small as making your bed because even that has a larger impact that you would think. It’s amazing how the mind works like that.
