Charleston Day 1

Like many college students it is spring break season and mine was this past week. I was blessed to have been asked by a friend if I wanted to join them with their parents on spring break and so I had free housing down in Charleston, SC. That was kind of obvious though lol.

I had a really good spring break on a pretty cheap budget so I wanted to share my spring break with you all as well as a few tips.

This is pretty obvious but roll your clothes, not only does it save room but it is better at preventing wrinkles.

If you are really tight on space and on a budget you can make your own make shift space bags. This can be done by taking a grocery plastic bag, putting your clothes in it, and then sitting on it so you compress the space and then doubly knot the ends.

If you have school work that doesn’t take up much space and can be done without internet, bring it and do it half the car ride. I personally don’t like trying to get homework done the day when the high from spring break crashed.

These are a few tips I get were worth squeezing in here.

UI drove down with my friend so I was helping them navigate and there are so many apps that tells you about traffic, accidents, and cops. It really doesn’t matter which one you get but they will save you soooo much time and stress.

It’s time for the fun part now y’all. Yes I’m a Kentucky girl I say y’all from time to time. With that said my actual first day was spent in a car so I’m just gonna talk about my days in the city.

I was with my friend and their parents and their mom happened to have a lot of old close friends from graduate school and so we ended up have a late lunch with their fiends on the first day. It took up more time than expected but it’s really fun to hear stories about parents in their 20s. If that isn’t something you have had the joy of experiencing, I hope you get the chance because there were many times I thought I was gonna fall out of my seat I was laughing so hard. I jumped around a little because we took a nice walk on the beach that morning before going for a quick drive.

There is just something about cold sand between your feet that feels so calming. Hopefully that’s not just me??

Earlier this day we were at the friends house so by the time we got back it was pretty dark. It’s pretty fun to walk the beach at night because the waves always seem louder and where we were the sky was beautiful. It felt like you could see the starts and all the galaxies in space there were so many.

We watched a little bit of march madness and then we just watched a few movies. One of which was called I am Number Four and it was really good. I’ve read the book before but this is coming from someone who hasn’t so if you are into sci-fi kinds of things and romance, I think you will probably like it!

I was going to add the next day into this post but would have been extremely long so there will be more to come really soon!

I’m sorry this went up a little late, I’m still without halfway decent internet.

Have a great day or night where ever your are in the world!
