I am the kind of person that is truly inspired by quotes. They are just words but to me, they are so empowering and motivating that there are some I try to live by. Okay, some kind of makes it sounds like there are just a few… that is probably the biggest lie ever. I think I have over 500 quotes pinned on my Pinterest and that is only the beginning. I print quotes out or doodle them into my planner almost daily. I had a couple pages in my planner and a whole other notebook of quotes that I enjoy. Quotes are wonderful because they are short and sweet but their effect is long and inspiring. Another reason why I love quotes, is that you can find quotes for just about any mood you are in or for things you want to accomplish.
This is one of my personal favorites. There can be a very fine line between being kind and a pushover sometimes. I want to be a woman whom builds others up but doesn’t let them tear me down in the process. This quote, to me, is part of the foundation of a strong woman. It’s that fine balance of sweet and spicy.
To accomplish anything in life means you have to put forth the effort. The life you want and envy is not just going to fall into your lap as much as you or I wish it would. I may want to be a millionaire, but the question becomes what am I doing to make that a reality. This quote is not hard to grasp but can be near impossible to accomplish if you don’t have the right mindnset. The victim card can only get you so far, at some point you have to take authority of your life. This is something that works for me whenever I think of playing the victim card, you could always have it worse. It may not seem like it now, or maybe ever, but I promise there is always someone who had it worse than you. I just happen to have been humbled by what happened to my grandfather at a young age. His entire life changed in half a second, and from that moment on, if he lived through it, he would never be able to walk again.
This quote has a somwhat similar theme to the past quote. Don’t be afraid to try and fail, the worst that is going to happen is you learn and become better and stronger for it. Fall down 9 times, stand up 10. There are wonderful things that happen on that 10th try and you may never know if you stop at the 9th. There is a whole world waiting for you to put your stamp on it, leave a stamp that no one can erase.
I have learned through expereince with this quote. I tried to push myself out of my comfort zone when it came to being “shy”. The truth was I was never really shy, I was just afraid to put myself out there in the first place. If I never wanted to push myself out of the comfort zone of that 9th try, this blog would never even have been born in the first place.
This is a renewed favorite of mine. One of my “resolutions” this year was to be more grateful, that meant if nothing else finding that one thing in my day that was good or made my life easier. The thing about the “bad” days is that they are usually preparing you for something better. Maybe you had a bad day so that for future days you will be grateful you weren’t having that bad day. It’s the simple things in life to be grateful for. If nothing else, you can be grateful that you are here and alive today and there is always tomorrow if today really sucked. If you need to be humbled a little, know that as you waste your breath complaining about something in your life that someone else is taking the last breath of theirs.
Yet another long time favorite of mine. I almost bought a mug with this saying on it but the mug was cracked… I relate to this quote because I don’t want to live a shallow life surrounded by shallow people. I want to experience life as deep as the ocean and as far as the stars. If I only live until I am 20 or 30, I want to have lived each and everyday as happy as I could be, learning as much as I could, and experiencing everything there is. To me this quote is about having a zest for life and actually living it. I may be writing this on a social media platform at the moment but I dont want to live my life behind a screen. I want to spend it doing things I love, that are intersting, or new, that will make me a better person. There are things that are beyond your control but how you react to them is not. If you only had a year left to live, could you honestly say you have been living a life you are proud to have lived. Don’t take this literal as in your job or house but some figuratively. Did you make connections with those around you, did you try to live a happy life, will you leave this earth knowing you made it just a little bit better than it was when you got here?
This quote also points out that you can’t changed what already occurred, but you change what happens in the future. You can make that really sucky moment the turning point in your life to start living your best life.
As I write this post, I realize that this could become a series of its own. I will leave you with this quote because I have had many thought provoking conversations with others about it. People interpret everything in their own way and so while talking with a friend they mentioned how they believe this quote is about comparison. Billionaires may seem like they have the dream life yet everyone has their own battle, one that you know nothing about. This quote also brings me to think about playing the victim card. People all around you may be going through things far worse than you are or that you could imagine but have the strength to keep fighting their battle. This quote is empowering to me because there are times my life feels like it is falling apart but on the outside I try to keep it appearing as though my life is great. I do this not so that I am “faking it,” but so that by smiling through the pain and the struggle that it brings me that small step closer to happiness and success.
Thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day!

This wraps up the challenge I gave myself to post everyday for two weeks straight! It is honestly harder than I thought it would be so I give major credit to bloggers that post everyday or even every other day.
I loved this! You should definitely turn this into a series! Maybe have a quote and then give your interpretation and maybe even include a reflection of when that quote helped you make a decision? It could be a very powerful series with a lot of potential!
I loved how you shared how you received the quotes. Especially when you discussed your resolution to be more grateful. Lately, I feel like the world has been so fixated on the bad that we forget to cherish the good. This was lovely! I’m so happy I found your blog.

I’m going to think about it a little more, but I think I probably will end up making it a series. Thank you so much for reading and I am so happy that you enjoyed it! I hope you have a great day!!!

I want to share this with you. Halloween 2012 I lost everything I had and was even separated from my 2 boys. I am still currently living in an extended stay motel. I always questioned why me & then I stopped questioning why & I turned to quotes like never before & anything motivational. My life over the last five years has humbled my inner being. It taught me patience, it allowed me to forgive. It taught me to put myself first. It showed me who people really are. I know who is real & who is fake. OMG! I could go on, but it lead me to blog. To continue on my journey to inspire myself as well as others no matter what it looks like. Be Blessed!
