20 Ways to Romanticize Life This Spring

More and more lately, I am choosing to find the beauty in life all around us. Spring is fast upon us and there is beauty to be found all around us. While romanticizing your life has become widely popularized, I hope the trend encourages many to find the beauty, joy, love, and peace that is so wildly abundant.

1 Design your ideal morning routine, the key word being “your” as this morning routine should include what makes you happy, brings you peace, and starts your day off on the right foot. This may be getting in a morning workout, having your beloved cup of coffee, watching the sunrise, reading a book or the word, or anything else that suits you.

2 Transition your closet to spring and all of those warmer weather tanks, shorts, and dresses that have been neglected over the previous seasons. Now is also the time to clean out your wardrobe of clothes that no longer fit whether it be your style or physically.

3 Pack a picnic. This is a beautiful way to celebrate the season whether it be alone, with your partner, your friends, or your family.

4 Pick, grow, or buy yourself a bouquet of flowers. There is something so special about treating yourself with something that is most often a show of love from others. It is also a daily reminder to show yourself love and grace on the harder days.

5 Change up your space. As a kid, I loved to rearrange my room even if it was just changing the direction my bed faced. Now as an adult, I love to rearrange anything I can despite having a lot of furniture that is stuck in its current configuration.

6 Use the nice stuff. Stop waiting for the perfect moment because if you don’t create it, it may never come. Burn the nice candle, wear the nice dress, drink the nice bottle of wine, overall enjoy your life before it passes you by.

7 Go for a drive just for the sake of it. This is truly therapy for me. I have the most expansive range of thoughts while driving and the beauty of a nice rural drive fills me with immense happiness and gratitude.

8 Disconnect from technology and probably more importantly, social media.

9 Make infused water. Try lemon, lime, cucumber, any form of citrus really, mint, strawberries, raspberries and so much more.

10 Do a digital detox and spring clean your phone and your computer from all of the apps, files, photos, and so forth that no longer serve you.

11 Add some life into your home with a new plant or even just some fresh flowers.

12 Attend your local festivities. There are usually outdoor markets, movies, and other random events that are likely in your area to get outside and potenitally meet some new friends or spend quality time with some old friends.

13 Spend time rediscovering hobbies you loved as child. Recently I started painting for fun again and it took me back to the same feeling as a child.

14 Start an indoor herb garden on your window sill or if you have any outdoor space at all, start a garden. Even having just fresh herbs available can make a world of difference in cooking or getting adventerous with cocktails.

15 Simply go for a walk. I absolutely love going for walks whether it be in the neighborhood or in a park. I find that in the spring and summer it is especially fun to walkin the neighborhood and spot children’s chalk drawings on the sidewalk, see all of the flowers and trees blooming, or seeing fellow neighbors out for an evening walk as well.

16 Let some fresh air in! Something about having the windows open brings me so much and peace as well. I will even do this in the winter just to freshen up the air in the house but now that it is spring, you better bet I open up the windows every day pretty much!

17 Spend time reflecting. I often find the new year to be the time when everyone evaluates their life and what they want our of the new year but I find spring to be the time when I am very reflective outside of New Year’s day. With all of the world coming into bloom I become very introspective and really think about what I want out of my life and how to make life beautiful like the world around me.

18 Host a girls night in! Make some boquets, have good conversation with a glass of wine in hand, or host a lovely dinner with all of the spring produce that is now available.

19 Spring clean your home and not in the dull boring way… put some music on, have your favorite beverage in hand, and show some love to your home and your cherished beloings while also parting with those that no longer serve you or bring you joy.

20 Appreciate this beautiful life of yours! There is something to be grateful for in each and every day, even on the hard days.

As always, I hope you have a happy and wholesome day!
