How to Live in the Moment

I truly believe this is something at least 90% of us struggle with, which is just really sad in my opinion. So many of us are trapped in the mindset where we are stuck either in the past or the future. Or even worse, technology and social media. I have nothing against social media, it can be a really great and wonderful thing and I have seen it be a great and wonderful thing. It is all in how we use it and view it. But, that’s not really what today’s post is about. Today is about getting your mind out of the prison that is your own head and to start living a better life, a happier life.

I know some of you might have already clocked out even because you think this is some serious BS crazytown crap that is ultimately going to waste your time.

I know that, because I was you.

I would scroll through countless posts and videos about how social media is terrible for you and thinking about anything other than the present is just a shame.

By living in the now, not only are you giving yourself back your own self control but you are giving back your happiness.

How is that you might ask? It’s by not worrying about things you can no longer control because they no longer happen and by forgiving yourself for what the old you did or didn’t do. By being present in your own life you are setting yourself up for success in the future.

Tell me something, if you are too busy worrying about what is to come, how can you focus on making what you want to come happen?

If you are too busy thinking about the future, that means you are no longer able to create the future you want. The future that you deserve.

Here are some of the ways I have found to live more in the moment:

If people are around you, put down your phone. Actually talk to the people who are around you, you might learn something new and it will make you happier.

Try and limit the time you spend on social media, it can be a source of comparison.

Appreciate all of the little things throughout the day, even if it is just one little thing.

Smile more! It chemically makes you happier whether you want it t or not.

Forgive what happened in the past. It lets you live happier and less stressed today.

Try your best to not worry, it’s not helping anything.

I hope all have a wonderful day!

Haha good question, maybe I’ll write a post once about it ☺️ but long story short, when my husband and I were dating we were in a long distance relationship and for one Christmas we spent together but far from our homes 🏠 and to surprise me he bought a small plastic pine tree 🎄 (because we have to have a pine tree for Christmas, right? ☺️) and under the tree as a gift was my new website- THE PLASTIC PINE TREE 🎄 ❤️
